Luxor Day Trip from Hurghada by Plane

Escape the tranquil shores of the Red Sea for a breathtaking journey back in time with a day trip to Luxor from Hurghada by plane. This efficient and exhilarating excursion allows you to bypass the long hours on the road and maximize your time exploring the legendary capital of ancient Thebes, often hailed as the world’s greatest open-air museum.

Explore the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, Hatshepsut Temple, and the Memnon Statues during a single day trip from Hurghada and back by plane.

Your whirlwind adventure typically begins with an early morning pick-up from your Hurghada hotel and a transfer to Hurghada International Airport. A short, comfortable flight of approximately one hour will transport you across the Eastern Desert to Luxor. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a private Egyptologist guide who will be your companion and narrator for a day steeped in history and grandeur.

The meticulously planned itinerary ensures you witness the most iconic landmarks of both the East and West Banks of the Nile. A typical day trip includes:

  • The Valley of the Kings: Descend into the subterranean tombs of the pharaohs, the final resting place for legendary rulers such as Tutankhamun. Marvel at the vibrant and remarkably preserved hieroglyphs and intricate decorations that adorn the walls of these ancient burial chambers.
  • The Temple of Hatshepsut: Witness the architectural marvel of the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a testament to the power and vision of one of ancient Egypt’s few female pharaohs. Its magnificent terraces are carved into the limestone cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.
  • The Colossi of Memnon: Stand in awe before the two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, which have silently guarded the Theban Necropolis for millennia.
  • Karnak Temple: Explore the sprawling complex of Karnak, a vast and awe-inspiring collection of temples, chapels, pylons, and obelisks dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.
  • Lunch with a Nile View: A delectable Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant, often with picturesque views of the Nile, provides a welcome respite and a taste of authentic local cuisine.

At the end of the day, drive to Luxor airport to take your flight back to Hurghada.

Our drivers will be waiting to transfer you back to the hotel.
