Luxor from Hurghada by Bus
An air-conditioned bus will pick you up at your hotel in the early morning. The pick-up time will be communicated with the confirmation of your booking. When everybody is on the bus, you will head to Luxor, where your journey back in time will start.
Kanak Temple:
The Temple of Karnak will be your first stop when visiting. The Temple of Karnak was the most important religious complex in ancient Egypt, and today, it is the second-largest ancient religious site in the world. Everything is built on a gigantic scale. From its huge decorated pillars to the obelisks, statues, and kiosks, the Temple of Karnak will leave you breathless. It took around 2,000 years to finish it.
Noon A tasty lunch will be served in a typical local restaurant before continuing your visit to Luxor.
The Valley of the Kings:
1:00 pm Now you will head to the Valley of the Kings, where the greatest pharaohs that ruled in the New Kingdom rest in peace. There are a total of 63 tombs, including the tomb of Tutankhamun. Included in the visit to the Valley of the Kings is the entrance to three of the tombs. Against additional charge, you have the opportunity to enter the tomb of Tutankhamun (300 LE).
The mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut:
The tour continues to the Temple of Hatshepsut. The mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahri stands out as one of the most impressive. Shortly after coming to power, she commissioned her mortuary temple and had it designed to tell the story of her life and reign. She broke with tradition and had herself crowned the pharaoh of Egypt. The temple is designed over three terraces that rise above each other, and it is surrounded by steep and rugged limestone cliffs.
The trip will end with the sighting of the Colossi of Memnon.
The Colossi of Memnon are two 18-meter-high statues standing as landmarks on the side of the road, welcoming you to the West Bank. These two statues were supposedly standing guard at the temple of Amenhotep III. It would have been the biggest temple complex had the Nile not washed it all down.
At the end of the afternoon, you will return to Hurghada, where you will be dropped off at your hotel. Book our day trip to Luxor by bus and go back in history.
