Explore the rich history and culture of Egypt on a 2-day tour from Hurghada that covers the best of Cairo and Luxor. The tour will take you to visit some of Cairo’s most iconic tourist attractions such as the Egyptian Museum, home to one of the world’s most extensive collections of ancient Egyptian artefacts, including the treasures of the famous King Tutankhamun. Then, you’ll travel to Giza to marvel at the ancient pyramids, including the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest of the three pyramids and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Additionally, you will also visit the Great Sphinx, the massive limestone statue that represents a mythical creature with a lion’s body and a human head.
After that, you will head to Luxor, known as the world’s greatest open-air museum, where you will visit some of the most important ancient Egyptian temples and tombs. First, you will visit the Karnak temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt, containing a complex of temples and chapels. Then, you will visit the Luxor temple, a grand temple built by Ramses II. After that, you will go to the Valley of the Kings, the place where the pharaohs were buried in ancient times, and you will have the opportunity to visit 3 tombs. Next, you will visit the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, a complex of mortuary temples and tombs, built for the 18th dynasty queen Hatshepsut. And finally, you will visit the Memnon Colossi, two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III.

Tour of Cairo:
You will start your day visiting the Egyptian Museum, where you will be able to see one of the world's most extensive collections of ancient Egyptian artefacts including the treasures of the famous King Tutankhamun. Afterwards, you'll enjoy lunch and then continue to visit the iconic Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, and other historical sites in the area.
Overnight stay in Cairo:
You will spend one night at a 4-star hotel on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Cairo to Luxor:
The next day after breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and our representative will take you to the airport for your flight to Luxor. There, you will continue your tour of the historical and cultural sites of Egypt.
Luxor airport arrival:
Upon arrival at Luxor airport, your Egyptologist tour guide will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall, holding a sign with your name on it, to start your full-day tour of Luxor sightseeing.
Luxor sightseeing:
You will begin your tour by visiting the Karnak temple, an impressive complex of temples and chapels, and then enjoy lunch before continuing to the Valley of the Kings to see the famous tombs of the pharaohs. Next, you will visit the Hatshepsut temple and the Colossi of Memnon.
Return to Hurghada:
After your tour of Luxor is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Hurghada, where you can relax after a full day of sightseeing and learning about the rich history of Egypt.
