Welcome to Cairo!
After you arrive at Cairo International Airport, your friendly guide will meet you and take you to your hotel to settle in. Once you’re fresh and ready, we’ll start with a visit to the famous Egyptian Museum. Here, your guide will take you through the world’s largest collection of ancient Egyptian treasures, including the incredible King Tutankhamun’s artifacts, like the golden death mask.
Lunch: After all that history, we’ll take a break and treat you to a delicious Egyptian lunch at a local spot. Try koshari, a comforting dish made from lentils, rice, and pasta, or fatta, a tasty mix of rice, meat, and bread soaked in garlic and vinegar sauce. It’s a great intro to Egyptian cuisine!
Later, we’ll take a walk around Tahrir Square—the heart of modern Cairo—and then head to the vibrant Khan El Khalili Bazaar for some shopping. Get ready to haggle and find unique souvenirs like jewelry, spices, and traditional crafts.
Today, we’re off to one of the most iconic places in the world—the Pyramids of Giza.
Standing in front of the Great Pyramid of Giza, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Your guide will share all the details about how Pharaoh Khufu built this massive pyramid thousands of years ago. You’ll also visit the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure, learning what made each one special.
Lunch: After the pyramids, we’ll enjoy a flavorful lunch at a local restaurant. You’ll get to try grilled kebabs and shawarma, along with a fresh tabbouleh salad. For dessert, don't miss a sweet treat like baklava—crispy and syrupy, it’s the perfect end to a meal!
Next, we’ll visit the Great Sphinx—the giant stone lion with a human face—and your guide will tell you all the mysteries and legends surrounding this fascinating monument. In the afternoon, we’ll head back to the Egyptian Museum, where you’ll learn even more about Egypt’s ancient wonders.
Good morning, Luxor!
We’ll hop on a short flight from Cairo to Luxor, a city that’s basically an open-air museum. Our first stop will be Karnak Temple, one of the largest religious sites in the world. As we explore the giant columns and halls, your guide will explain the significance of this temple dedicated to the god Amun Ra. You’ll even walk through the Hypostyle Hall, where the columns soar above you like giant stone trees.
Lunch: After our visit to Karnak, we’ll stop at a local restaurant for a delicious Luxor-style lunch. You can try dishes like moussaka (a hearty eggplant and meat casserole) and samak mashwi (grilled fish), a local favorite. We’ll also have a sweet treat to finish up—maybe some freshly made baklava to round off the meal.
In the afternoon, we’ll head over to Luxor Temple, another stunning monument where kings were crowned and ancient rituals took place. It’s especially magical to visit at sunset, when the temple starts to glow in the evening light.
Today, we’re heading to the West Bank of Luxor, where the ancient pharaohs were laid to rest.
Our first stop will be the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of many pharaohs, including Tutankhamun. You’ll walk through the tombs and see the vibrant paintings on the walls that tell the story of each pharaoh’s journey to the afterlife. Your guide will explain how these tombs were built to ensure the pharaohs’ souls were cared for in the afterlife.
Lunch: After all the tomb exploration, we’ll enjoy a cozy lunch at a local restaurant. Expect to try taameya (Egyptian falafel) with a side of fool medames (fava beans cooked with garlic and lemon). It’s a simple but filling meal that’s loved by locals!
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most famous female pharaohs. This stunning temple is carved into the cliffs and has a fascinating history. We’ll finish with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues that once guarded a royal temple.
In the evening, we’ll return to Cairo, where you can relax after an amazing day of exploration.
Our final day has arrived, but we’ll make the most of it!
After breakfast, you’ll have a few hours to relax or do some last-minute shopping. If you’d like, we can visit the Citadel of Saladin, home to the Mohammed Ali Mosque, a stunning landmark in Cairo. Your guide will share the fascinating history behind this beautiful mosque and its importance to Egypt’s culture.
Lunch: For your farewell lunch, we’ll head to a local restaurant where you can enjoy some classic kebab halla (grilled lamb) and stuffed pigeon, a local delicacy in Cairo. Don’t forget to try a traditional dessert like kunafa—it’s a sweet, syrupy treat that’s popular in Egypt.
When it’s time to say goodbye, we’ll transfer you to Cairo International Airport, where you’ll catch your flight back home, filled with incredible memories of Egypt’s history and culture.
