Day 1: The Grand Egyptian Museum

Day 3: Islamic Old Cairo

National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, Salah El-Din Citadel, Al-Moez Street and Khan El-Khalili Bazaar

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization Visit;

Salah El-Din Citadel Visit

    Al-Moez Street and Khan El-Khalili Bazaar Visit 

    • From the El-Ftouh gate we start the walking tour; this gate is one of the three historical doors of Old Cairo, which was the capital of Egypt during the Fatimid eras. 

     

    • Explore the Al Hakim Mosque, which contains the oldest minaret found in Egypt.

     

    • Meet El Sabiel, which is a fountain made of marble to keep the water cool. It was used to water the passersby for free. 

     

    • Discover the integrated Qalawun group that includes a mosque and a Bayramistan “hospital for free,” a fountain from which passersby drank for free, a fountain from which animals drank for free, and historical minarets. 

     

    • Arrive at the Sultan Inal Bath, which was a public bathhouse with colorful decorations.

Day 5: Travel to Luxor

 Visit Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple

Relish an early departure from Cairo’s hotel and take a comfy seat in the latest AC vehicle to arrive at Luxor.

Upon arrival in Luxor, explore the top sights in Thebes, the capital of ancient Egypt; Luxor Temple.

Luxor Temple Visit; 

  • Meet the 2 obelisks in front of the temple with a weight of 600 tons and a height of 22 meters made by Ramses II.
  • Cross through the open court and the entrance to move from the Ramses II era to Amenhotep III times, finding yourself amid the secrets of this king and his right to rule ancient Egypt.

Day 6 : Hot Air Balloon

Day 7: Aswan

High Dam, Philae Temple, Nubian Village

Aswan High Dam

  • Arrive at this one of the 20th-century marvels, Aswan High Dam. 
  • Enter the site and arrive at the viewing platform, seeing the panoramic view of the dam and Lake Nasser, which is the world’s largest artificial lake.
  • Walk along the dam and meet the Soviet-Egyptian Friendship Monument, which is a lotus-shaped structure. Get to know the story behind this monument.

    Philae Temple

    • Here, you can meet the last hieroglyphic text found in all of Egypt, dating back to 394 BC, and the last demotic text dating back to 452 BC.
    • Explore this temple, arriving at the Mamis, and meeting its entrance that includes 7 columns with capitals of goddess Hathor's face; each capital represents Hathor with a different reaction, from the confusion up to the latest one while Hathor is smiling; these reactions are related to beliefs of the ancient Egyptians in the birthing, and still the Egyptians keep some of these beliefs.
    • Let your Egyptologist tell you all about these beliefs and the other mysteries related to Philae Temple, which is located amid amazing nature and teeming with the ancient Egyptian mysteries. 

    The Nubian Village

    • Relish a cozy 30-minute sail by motorboat from Aswan to the Nubian Village.
